  • Reflection of a morning

    Reflection of a morning

I was just back at the hotel after my morning walk (or did I actually run, I don't remember) and saw this nice reflection in the pool. If you ask me, this was the best time to hang around at the pool area.

  • Together on the top

    Together on the top

While cross-country skiing on the mountain I passed this couple. They seemed pretty weathered, but at least they had each other.

  • Keep cool!

    Keep cool!

I'm quite new to cross-country skiing, so I am not sure. But I think this is a sign and I imagine that there is some kind of message on it that is intended for me. Being new to this, I found it quite difficult to read. Maybe it just said "It's winter, keep cool!" In that case, I got the message.

  • Hostile and beautiful

    Hostile and beautiful

When zooming in on the frost from last night, I can't really decide if it looks intimidating and hostile, or fragile and beautiful. Perhaps it's both hostile and beautiful...

  • Pale day by the lake

    Pale day by the lake

It was in the middle of summer. That much I know. But I don't remember where this photo was taken. It seems to be a rather pale day anyway and perhaps not worth remembering. Anyhow, I quite like the photo.

  • Late summer light

    Late summer light

I captured this photo on my way to pick up the kids from school. Trying to see the neighborhood in a different light, I used my full-spectrum converted camera and a 720nm filter.

  • Time for reflection

    Time for reflection

I was just arriving at the hotel, returning from my morning walk. It was still too early for the first bathers, so the water was almost completely still. It was enough to make a rather nice reflection of the morning sky at least. This is shot with an iPhone by the way.

  • Wheels of fire

    Wheels of fire

I took quite a few photos that evening on the beach on Koh Lanta. We were sitting just a few meters away from these wheels of fire and we could feel the heat. This fire show was really something. Needless to say, the kids liked the show too.

  • Lighthouse in the morning light

    Lighthouse in the morning light

I was on my way back from a morning walk to the dunes. With the morning sun in my back I needed to turn around to fully enjoy the sunrise. Here is a photo of the lighthouse I passed.

  • From the bus

    From the bus

This photo is taken with my old iPhone 6 through a bus window. The resolution is nothing to cheer for, but thanks to the bright spring sun and the calm water I think it turned out pretty nice anyway.

  • Donut of Fire

    Donut of Fire

Me and my son were browsing through some pictures. When we came to the pictures from the fire show on Klong Jark Beach, he said it looked like fire donuts. And I guess he's right.

  • Stairway to Heaven

    Stairway to Heaven

It wasn't as warm as it might appear. It was actually quite windy and cold. The view of the horizon was nice though. For this shot however, I turned my back to the sea and faced the grass covered dunes.

  • Morning Speed

    Morning Speed

One early October morning I set out to capture the morning sun over the river. I did capture the stilless of the water in the morning light as planned. But I also turned around and captured the speeding cars in the light of dawn.

  • Swing on the Beach

    Swing on the Beach

This is another picture from Coconut Beach in Khao Lak. The beach is lined with palm trees, the sand is soft, the water is warm and the swing is free. Some very good reasons for a visit. It's a bit far away though...

  • The Golden Guys

    The Golden Guys

It was probably one of the hottest days during our visit in Phuket. But we were, strangely enough, rather tired of lying on the beach. Instead, we decided it was a good idea to sit in a hot taxi for an hour or so for a trip to the Big Buddha. It was worth it though. Except for the big one, we also found a couple of his friends.

  • Light up the night!

    Light up the night!

This was the start signal of the fire show we were lucky to enjoy on Koh Lanta. Even though I was sitting about 10 meters away from these guys, I could really feel the heat from that fire blast. That was quite cool! (Cool, not cold. :)

  • Colorful Bokeh

    Colorful Bokeh

I'm not sure why, but I have a soft spot for bokeh pictures. Maybe it's the soft light or, in this case, the many colors that are reflected in the water. I think this photo is from a photowalk I did in Stockholm, but I'm actually not quite sure.

  • Winter apple

    Winter apple

We have a small tree with winter apples in our garden. Often the snow falls before the fruit is ripe and ready to be eaten. I don't mind though. They are tasty and worth waiting for.

  • Glowing Trees

    Glowing Trees

I used to experiment more with photo editing apps on my phone than I do now. This picture is one of the more extreme results. Some autumn trees made a bit more glowing.

  • Autumn Effects

    Autumn Effects

This photo is from when I played around (more often) with fun effects on my iPhone. This particular effect gives the motive a bit more edges and glowing colors. I think it's kinda cool.

  • Fairytale forest

    Fairytale forest

I took this photo many years ago with my phone. I think it was an iPhone 4 or something. At that time I often played around with my photos in different apps and this time I got a kind of fairytale painting effect. I think it turned out kinda cool.

  • Another fairytale forest

    Another fairytale forest

One of the benefits of living on the outskirts of the city is the proximity to nature. The forest can be a magic place to explore and it is a luxury to have it right outside the door. I took this photo many years ago with my iPhone 4. If i remember correctly it's edited in TangledFX.

  • Cartoon flower

    Cartoon flower

I have no idea what the name of this flower is. It's quite nice though and grows on one of the bushes in our garden. I took this photo with my old iPhone 4 and edited it in Tangled FX to get this cartoon look.

  • The Moon

    The Moon

This was one of those nights, when the moon is full and bright. And also rather beautiful. I would like to have a lens with a bit more range, so that I would be able to study this ball a bit more closely.

  • Not quite full

    Not quite full

It's not quite full, but I still find it quite nice. If I remember correctly, this is taken on Koh Lipe, Thailand, during our backpacking trip.

  • Unfocused pattern

    Unfocused pattern

I have a soft spot for bokeh photos. I prefer them with many different and vibrant colors. In this case, however, I saw a nice pattern instead of nice colors.

  • Feeling a bit unfocused

    Feeling a bit unfocused

Sometimes you just have to unfocus a bit to see the world in a different light. Or at least a blurry light...

  • Wired up hearts

    Wired up hearts

I can't understand why tourists like to do this sort of thing; buying a padlock shaped like a heart and attach it to a wire for good fortune or something of the sort. But it seems to be quite popular...

  • Late Night Swim

    Late Night Swim

When in Kuala Lumpur, it is hard to miss the KLCC Park. The area behind the twin Petronas Towers. We spent quite a lot of time in the park; during both day and late evening. One evening I captured these fellows during their late night swim.

  • Blue Eyes

    Blue Eyes

I think the Transformers movies can be quite entertaining when you are in the right mood. I don't know which of the transformers this one is though. We saw this fellow on Universal Studios in Singapore. It's hard to tell from this picture, but even though he (at least I think it is a he) is kneeling, he reaches at least two meters above the ground.

  • Up and away

    Up and away

This is one of the first photos I took on our two-month backpacking trip a few years ago. We had just left the ground and could enjoy a winter sunrise above the clouds. A rather good way to start a trip.

  • Night lights bokeh

    Night lights bokeh

For some reason I have a soft spot for bokeh pictures. I'm not sure where I took this, but I think it is somewhere in Thailand. It's a little hard to discern...

  • Misty Mountain

    Misty Mountain

During our visit to Gardens by the Bay, we saw this spectacular greenhouse. To me it almost looks like a spaceship or something from a SciFi movie. Kinda cool!

  • The key to good music

    The key to good music

What is the key to good music? Is there a single key or are there perhaps many? This looks like good start though...

  • Shadow of a man

    Shadow of a man

There's my shadow in the afternoon light. It was only a few years since I took this picture, but it feels like a lifetime ago. A shadow of a man that now is a shadow of himself...

  • Rainbow cloud

    Rainbow cloud

It was a midwinter afternoon and we were just about to enter the train station. On our way in we saw this colorful pastell rainbow cloud. I've never seen anything quite like it and I think it was rather cool.

  • Seen in the restroom

    Seen in the restroom

I don't really have any good caption for this, but for some reason i kinda like this photo.

  • At the graveyard

    At the graveyard

I think this photo turned out quite all right. It's got some kind of dramatic feel to it. It may depend on what mood you are in, of course.

  • Swing reflection

    Swing reflection

It was a rather chilly summer evening. A soft breeze was passing over the lake. Even though the wind rippled the water a bit, it turned out to be a fairly okay reflection.

  • Colorful seat

    Colorful seat

I took this photo on the go through a little park a few years ago. It was actually a quite dull and gray day, but the leaves were colorful enough.

  • Strings

    Strings

I'm not much of a musician, but I like instruments. I find many of them (but not all) rather beautiful with many interesting details. When looking at this old photo though, I'm mostly wondering what that reflection on the left is...

  • Snapshot of a morning

    Snapshot of a morning

Here is a quick snapshot through the window on a crazy morning. Well, the sky was a bit crazy at least. The rest of the morning was probably quite normal I guess...

  • Memories of ice

    Memories of ice

When I look at this photo, I can almost still feel the cold. This is what the lake Sommen looks like during our Swedish winter. I'm not sure that we dared to cross the lake that day...

  • There's light in the darkness

    There's light in the darkness

In dark times it's often hard to remember the bright moments of life. Let's light a candle to spread some light in the darkness and make our world a bit brighter.

  • Autumn Painting

    Autumn Painting

A few years ago I used to play around quite a lot with different photo editing apps on my iPhone. I don't do that all that much anymore, but I think I should. I just found this old photo and I think it almost looks like a painting of colorful autumn leaves.
